Shakespeare, JULIUS CAESAR and ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA.  I’m not certain of the year, but it felt old and wonderful and it smelled like years of love.  I focused in on the quote, as it’s featured in the John Green novel, THE FAULT IN OUR STARS.  This is a treasure that I was not aware my house contained until I was snooping around our collection of antique books when I was supposed to be practicing.  I picked it up, looked at the care-worn cover and figured it to be a textbook of some sort until I saw the spine and my heart started doing double-time.  I asked my mother about it and she was like, “Yeah, we’ve had that for years.”  I love that I can still discover things in the home I’ve been living in for the entirety of my life, especially something as awesome as an antique copy of Shakespeare (or in this case, Shakspere). 

Update: I have been told by some kind rebloggers that the Roman Numerals on the title page tell it to be from 1788. 1) I’m a total derp for not noticing that and 2) WOW.
